Winter holds a Master of Library Science degree from Indiana University Bloomington with a Specialization in Rare Books and Manuscripts Librarianship (’17) as well as a Master in Art in the History of Art & Architecture from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (’15) with a major in Italian Renaissance Art and a minor in 19th-Century European Art. She also has a Bachelor of Arts with degrees in Art History and Studio Art with a concentration in oil painting from Wittenberg University (Springfield, Ohio). 

Winter enjoys being on, near, or in the water, with preference given to Lake Michigan. She is fond of reading, various artistic pursuits, walking in the woods, kayaking, and glasses half-full.
